GACX 15546
Title:  GACX 15546
Description:  In 2016, the WSOR used some state funds to help offset the costs of some bridge repair along its lines. The old concrete span across the mill pond in Ripon gets some much needed attention, as a train rolls across. Look closely and signs of work can be seen. A back hoe operator can be seen down by the water.

WSOR 3809
Title:  WSOR 3809
Description:  The WSOR working on the spur to the Seneca canning facility located on former Chicago and Northwestern right of way. Ripon was once home to an at grade crossing of the Chicago and Northwestern and the Milwaukee Road. The Milwaukee Road line is still in use as a branch from Horicon to Oshkosh with the WSOR. The Chicago and Northwestern line in use is only two short spurs from the junction. One is a storage track along Gothic Mill Pond. The other is to the canning plant, about a half mile to the east of the junction.

Sand Loading Facility
Title:  Sand Loading Facility
Description:  Between Utley and Markesan in the Town of Mackford, located at the County Trunk S grade crossing is this siding. In the recent past of when this photo was taken, it was a very busy sand load out facility, with sand tucked in and trans-loaded to the awaiting covered hoppers via conveyors. The place was a beehive of activity and had enough "No Trespassing" signs to make one think some sort of secret government project was going on. The siding is now in use holding boxcars in storage. These will most likely end up at the Del Monte plant in Markesan.

Sand Trans-Load Facility
Title:  Sand Trans-Load Facility
Description:  Boxcars stored on the branch from Brandon to Markesan at a once busy sand trans-load out facility. An idle conveyor and conspicuity vest in the office window are lonely reminders of the once active past. Perhaps if there is an increase in need for frac sand, the load out will become active again on this former Milwaukee Road branch.

Plymouth Station
Title:  Plymouth Station
Description:  The former Milwaukee Road station in Plymouth is looking good under the WSOR (WATCO). The line has become more active under the WSOR, making Plymouth become an operating junction once again. The WSOR reactivated the former CNW line to Sheboygan Falls to serve a number of businesses that wanted rail service, including a Bemis facility in Sheboygan Falls.

WAMX 3893
Title:  WAMX 3893
Description:  Working to Oshkosh out of Horicon, a WSOR train works the United Co-op facility in Pickett. The United Co-op has an agronomy center in Pickett that is a fairly busy rail customer. Note the newer paint scheme on the front of the unit. I think I prefer the smaller chevron stripes rather than the wide chevron.

Title:  DWC 794034
Description:  A pair of box cars in front of a Seneca dock on the west side of Douglas Street. Typically, cars are loaded at the canning plant out of the picture to the rear of the camera. It is unknown if theses cars were unloaded or unloaded here, or just waiting to be spotted in the plant. This part of Seneca is where on will see a lot of their field equipment. Looking down this former C&NW track leads to the WSOR former Milwaukee Road line between Horicon and Oshkosh.

Welded Rail Installed Between Ripon and Oshkosh
Title:  Welded Rail Installed Between Ripon and Oshkosh
Description:  During the first weeks of August 2019, the WSOR has been replacing its jointed rail with welded rail. Along with the rail replacement they have been replacing the grade crossings. This view is toward the Pickett CoOp (currently United CoOp) from Hillside Road. The siding to the CoOp is still in place, and receiving cars. I realize this is better for the WSOR, but I am going to miss the rockin' and rollin' on the jointed rail.
