| Between Utley and Markesan in the Town of Mackford, located at the County Trunk S grade crossing is this siding. In the recent past of when this photo was taken, it was a very busy sand load out facility, with sand tucked in and trans-loaded to the awaiting covered hoppers via conveyors. The place was a beehive of activity and had enough "No Trespassing" signs to make one think some sort of secret government project was going on. The siding is now in use holding boxcars in storage. These will most likely end up at the Del Monte plant in Markesan. |
