Originally built for the Boston & Albany RR as their #606, this 1930 Alco-Schenectady 4-6-4 Hudson was renumbered 5461 and rec-classified as J-2b when NYC absorbed the satellite B&A. The unidentified photographer listed his camera settings on the back "NYC 5461 (J-4) ex-B&A (scrapped). Ciroflex camera, 1/100sec speed, f/16, film EXX, size 120.".
