WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took during a trip on Pennsylvania Railroad passenger trains from Wilmington to Altoona during August of 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #9215, a BS-6A built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1948 and rated at 600 horsepower. It is pulling a mixed-cargo local freight train through the North Philadelphia Station on Track 1. Also visible is a southbound passenger train ~ pulled by engine #4924 ~ departing on Track 3. |
