Description:
35 years ago there was a terrible derailment on the Atlanta & Saint Andrews Bay Railway (also known as the Bay Line) caused the release of chlorine gas from one of the tankers. As a result 8 or 9 people were killed from the deadly gas, and at least 2,500 people in a 5 mile radius were evacuated. It was later determined that someone had sabotaged the tracks. ASAB 503 was one locomotive out of a 5 or 6 engine consist, and the only one that was a total loss.

ASAB SD9 503
Description:
Atlanta & St. Andrews Bay SD9 503 was damaged in!a wreck at Youngstown, Florida on 26 February 1978. It was subsequently moved to the railroad's shop at Panama City to be cannibalized and scrapped, and this is what was left four and a half years later.
