Here is page six of a 34-page article (in five installmemts) entitled "Locomotives Of The Pennsylvania." It was published originally in the July 1941 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 55. Photo Caption: "K4 in action.! She's Number 5451, assigned to the 'Iron City Express.'" #5451 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1927 and retired in February of 1956 aftev 29 years of faithful service.

Top Photo: Shown here is PRR engine #1, an H-6SB (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-6B in March of 1906, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-6SB in April of 1913, and retired in April of 1949. Photo by Dr. Walter Teskey. Middle Photo: Shown here is PRR engine #5451, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in March of 1927 and retired in February of 1956. Bottom Photo: Shown here is PRR engine #1528, an L-1S (2-8-0) "Mikado" built in Juniata in August of 1915 and retired in September of 1948.
