Two Hump Units Humping  Contributor's Pick!
Humping a train out of Proviso Yard 9 and over the hump, which is still many car lengths to the right, where they are uncoupled and roll through the retarders into the classification yard. The tall signals in the picture tell the engineers what to do, e.g., proceed at hump speed, back up, and stop. The caboose was probably part of the inbound train, which must have been very heavy to require that much hump power.
