Here is page 34 of a 78-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "Those Amazing Class 'D' Locomotives." It was issued originally in June of 1981. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #929, a D-13A (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops as number "1628" during March of 1893, renumbered "929" in June of 1911, renumbered "0929" in August of 1920, and sold to E.B. Leaf in July of 1922 after 29 years of service. It's at the Denholm Coaling Station. |
