| The twin plates right below where I was sitting in the cab of HRHS 302 (ex USN 65-00302)! The larger plate on top is the builder’s plate. This plate basically tells people the locomotive’s build number, class number, type, manufacturer, and location of manufacture. The smaller, black plate on the bottom contains the instructions on how to correctly oil and grease the locomotive. This plate seems to have also been installed by the Rochelle, IL Locomotive Shops. |
