I saw a westbound CSX manifest on Sunday passing a local train sitting in the siding, and the manifest passed with either a CW44 or a GEVO on the point. I couldn’t really see due to the trees blocking my view, and I could not get a good quality picture off the head end. It took me by surprise since it was flying by at track speed. Near the end of the manifest, I saw this ex B&O gem behind another CSX hopper, and it caught my eye. I am so fortunate to have seen one of these, since there are not many Chessie System railcars left in original paint like this. I also like the rust and weathering, it really contributes to the worn out look. |
