We look down the length of Train 742 on track one at Diridon. The station was the hub of Southern Pacific Peninsula Commute Operation, and saw varied sets of commuter train equipment, from 4-6-2 Pacifics with heavyweights to leased Amtrak P30CH "Pooches" and now sleek Nippon Sharyo Bi-Levels. The station still dons the Southern Pacific shield on both the main concourse as well as the baggage area. |
