| Southern Pacific (Texas & New Orleans) Mk-5 class 2-8-2 765 was at the railroad’s ALGIERS SHOPS, across the Mississippi River from New Orleans. The locomotive had been built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works (39720) in April 1913 and was sold for scrap to Houston Compressed Steel on 5 March 1954, about five months after this photo was taken.
