Amtrak "Broadway Limited," Front, 1981
Here is the front side of a "Vanishing Vistas" portrait that was published by Richard E. Cox Enterprises in 1984. Photo by Mr. William E. Hopkins. Shown here (L to R) are Amtrak engines #363 and #351. Both were built by GM-EMD and rated at 3,000 horsepower each. #363 is an F40PHR built in April of 1981, while #351 is an F40PH built in November of 1980. In this context, they're pulling Amtrak's version of the once-fabled "Broadway Limited" near Millerstown, Pennsylvania, in July of 1981.
