L&N S2 2308         
Louisville & Nashville S2 number 2308 was at the railroad’s GENTILLY YARD in New Orleans, and the roundhouse can be seen in the background on the left.. The locomotive had been built in August 1942 as Nashville Chattanooga & St. Louis number 8, became L&N 2108 in 1957 and then L&N 2308 in 1965. It was retired in May 1973 and sold to Precision National Corp.
