GM&O (ICG) GP30 510
Eight months after the Gulf Mobile & Ohio merged with the Illinois Central, former GM&O GP30 510 was parked by the sand tower at the little service area across from the former GM&O depot in Bogalusa. In the left background was a remnant of the shop buildings built here by the New Orleans-Great Norther Railroad. The ICG would eventually build a new engine house and service area at its yard on the south side of town, and the old shop area would become a shopping center named SHOP YARD SQUARE!. The 510 was never repainted as ICG 2260 and it was sold to the Paducah & Louisville in 1986. VMV rebuilt it into CSX slug 2264 in 1989.(approximate month and day)
