4 unit set of GP-40X s with westbound at Colton Tower         
UP changed their strategy somewhat going with high output 4 axle power. a departure from the "bigger is better" school of thought. it seems that they did not purchase to may of these, so perhaps they rethought this.

Clark Gillis General Pretty sure that was the case. The GP-40x were rated at 3500 horsepower vs 3000 for standard GP-40, so that would seem logical. 10/31/2015 10:51:49 AM
