This is looking South on the CSX S line. Notice on the SAL signal tower, a "restricted" or lunar aspect. F707 was shoving an empty rail train into Aberdeen Yard from the North which is behind me. Seen at the bottom of the hill, is CSX local F742 waiting for the rail train to clear up off the main. The track to the left here is the old double or pass track that used to run this area in the SCL days, now used by ACW as the deliver track lead. To the far right, the track is the North leg of the wye, ACW uses from time to time, complete with its own signal, seen to the right of the tracks. That North leg used to run North from this location maybe a 1/4 mile and ended up with a coal shoot trestle where coal was dumped into bins below the trestle. |
