Here's an older, high stepping American-type locomotive built by Rhode Island Locomotive Works back in 1899. It was a class H (D30-73") denoting 73" drivers and producing only 185 psi boiler pressure and still running around the Windy City in this 1934 photo by Forrest Trittenbach. |
