SLSF 4-6-0 1404 - St Louis-San Francisco Rwy (Frisco)  Contributor's Pick!       
Like its sistere #1400 posted earlier, this loco was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works predecessor, Burnham, Williams & Co, in 1907. The loco had 69" drivers and an engine/tender length of 57.83'. In the 1920's, SLSF superheated this class and were kept active during WWII but were eventually "dismissed from service" between March, 1950-November, 1951.
