Amtrak diner-tavern 8332 was originally one of eighteen 44-seat dining cars built by Budd in 1958 as New York Central 450-467. This car was originally 453 and then Penn Central 4553. Five of the cars were retired before the PC merger in 1968, but the-remaining 13 cars went into the PC 4550-4566 series. Amtrak purchased 10 of the cars in 1973 and remodeled them with a 20-seat lounge and 24 dining seats as the 8330-8339. The 8332 became HERITAGE FLEET diner 8514 and then diner-grill 8555.
