PRR 6975, M-1, 1949         
Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Englewood, Illinois, on 3 September 1949. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6975, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Lima Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in March of 1950 after 24 years of faithful service. It's the first "Mountain" that Lima produced for the Pennsy. [Marginal Data: "35 MPH. 71 Cars. F11-1/8-2"] ("Ken6264"; #1 of 1)
