Title:
BRMX RPM 5149
Description:
BRMX RPM 5149 at an unknown location on an unknown date, scanned from the 1966 Car And Locomotive Cyclopedia, a Simmons-Boardman Publication, Chuck Zeiler collection. Filed under reporting marks CB&Q because BRMX is used by a museum. In August 1963, Havelock (Nebraska, CB&Q's car shops) constructed 100 mechanical reefers with an inside length of 44 feet 7 inches. Being the first reefers built after the image changeover in 1958, these cars, numbered 5100-5199 came in the new look Block Gothic lettering. The first 50 cars (BRMX 5100-5149) were fitted with meat rails.
