Title:
AMTK 4892
Description:
Forty-eight-seat coach 4892 was built by Pullman-Standard in 1956 as Northern Pacific “Holiday Lounge” parlor-buffet-lounge car 489, one of five such cars (487-491) in PS Lot No. 7642A. All five of the cars were remodeled into 48-seat coaches in 1963 (although two of the seats were reserved for the conductor) and renumbered 581-585. The 581-584 went to Amtrak as 4890-4893. The 4892 was previously NP 583 and was photographed on the northbound PANAMA LIMITED.
