Title:  SP 127 ALAMO
Description:  A month before Amtrak began operating the SUNSET LIMITED, Southern Pacific car 127 ALAMO and three other SP business cars were on the rear of the westbound train at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal. The loading area for Greyhound busses had been completed in October 1969, and took up about 500 feet formerly occupied by the ends of tracks 7-12. (date approximate)

Description:  Four Espee passenger cars -- 141 OAKLAND, sleeper 292, 150 SUNSET and 140 STANFORD -- bring up the rear of Amtrak's westbound SUNSET as it climbs the Huey P. Long Bridge. The train was powered by SP SDP45's 3207 and 3201, and Amtrak P30CH's 712 and 716.
