Title:
Stopped at Romig's for lunch - 2 of 2 - June 1966
Description:
Today, Romig's Tavern occupies the entire plaza building on Bennington. In the summer of 1966 however, Romig's had only one storefront out of many businesses in the plaza, located about in the middle. Other businesses at that time (they came and went over the years, of course) included a TV repair shop (where we picked up scrap TV parts for our model railroad needs), a liquor store, a barbershop, and (Mary) Creasy's Beauty Shoppe, the last located at the end of the building, right next to the tracks. The end of the plaza casts an afternoon shadow on C2602 while the crew is inside Romig's for lunch.
