Description:
BWCX. Here is an original photo that was taken at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 12 April 1960. Shown here is the Vulcan 0-4-0 steam locomotive named "Nancy." The builder's plate indicates "Vulcan Locomotive Works ~ 1918." This locomotive was retired during the Winter of 1963-1964, so it served faithfully for around 46 years! In this photo, "Nancy" is shifting a highway-trailer-carrying flatcar owned by the Transport Leasing Company. The Car Shop Offices are located in the structure in the middle of the photo, while the smoke stack shows the location of the coal-fired Power Plant. Brush Mountain is visible in the distance.

Berwind-White, "Nancy," 0-4-0T, 1963
Description:
BWCX. Here is an original photo that I took at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, in August of 1963. Shown here is the Vulcan 0-4-0T steam locomotive named "Nancy." The builder's badge specifies "Vulcan Locomotive Works ~ 1918." This locomotive was retired during the Winter of 1963-1964, so it served faithfully for 46 years! In this context, it's shifting one of Berwind's own hopper cars. Wave to the Engineman, Robert Wingard! The large structures in the background (L to R) are the new Paint Shop, the Car Shop, and the old Machine Shop. The shed in the middle was used by the Wheels & Trucks Gang.

Description:
BWCX. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 26 May 1964. Shown here is the Vulcan 0-4-0T steam locomotive named "Nancy." The builder's badge specifies "Vulcan Locomotive Works ~ 1918." Since its driving wheels kept coming loose from the axles, it was finally "put out to pasture" after 46 years of faithful service!
