Title:
BO 2-6-6-2 #7450 - Baltimore & Ohio
Description:
Here is another view of Baltimore & Ohio 2-6-6-2 Mogul Mallet type steam #7450 built by Baldwin in November of 1930. This was the control locomotive used to compare performance between its conventional firebox compared to BO #7400's experimental Emerson watertube firebox. The loco lasted for 23 years before being sold for scrap in July of 1953. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo but it appears to be West Virginia area around 1950
