Description:  WB. Here is an image of an official photo that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 4 November 1943. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6826, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in January of 1957 after 31 years of faithful service. In this context, it's riding the new 125-foot turntable that's located just beyond the East Altoona Coaling Tipple. William E. Burket Collection.
