Description:  Good looking example of the 1926 Baldwin built version of this Mountain-type locomotive. The note on back of photo by the unknown photographer states "New 25,000 gal welded tender". Obviously a 1989 reprint from an original negative. The day in April of 1938 is approximate.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6813, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during August of 1926 and retired in August of 1956 after 30 years of service.
