Built by Alco in May of 1955, this RS1 is still wearing its original orange and black paint scheme so this photo must be before its red, white & blue repaint for the Bicentennial. According to "thedieselshop" website, this unit was sold sometime after the repaint to first Cornith & Counce RR and then to the Central New England RR. Date is approximate and the location is based on other photos of the 1970's. This is a Forrest Trittenbach photo. |
