Album Info:On Saturday March 20's, the first day of my Spring break I was awakened at 7:30 by my cellphone, i looked at the screen and it was my contact at NS calling, meaning i would probably not be going back to sleep! Indeed, NS 173 had a Conrail SD50 on the point and was headed for Atlanta. I threw my stuff in the car and highballed off to Norcross where there would be enough light to shoot it. After getting it there me and another railfan headed for downtown to get him again. We had plenty of time as he had to switch Chamblee and wait for the normal congestion around Armour Yard. While waiting we heard a GZ train on the radio and decided to check it out. To our amazement it was a CR C40-8 with a train of camp cars. Not only did we get that but for the hour we were at Howell Tower it was non stop action. With 5 trains running the right way for the light. After waiting for two trains to pass the 173 accelerated south just after the last cars of the 174 passed.
