Album Info:
The Town of Bowie, Maryland was built up around the Jct. of the Popes Creek Branch of the Baltimore & Potomac RR and the PRR in the 1800s. Today Bowie Tower resides a hundred feet north east of its original location inside the Junctions Y. It is restored and open to the public as part of the Bowie RR Station Museum located adjacent to Amtraks NEC. This museum has a small collection of RR tools and hardware along with a Norfolk & Western Caboose. There is parking on site and a good chance to watch some action on the NEC.
