Album Info:In this series on images, Conductor Kuhaneck gives the hand signals to Engineer Nobles for correct placement on the siding for rigging crews to pick the locomotive later in the day. Placement on the siding had been previously measured and determined by Deep South Rigging engineers for safety and coordination for the heavy lifters. Once that was completed, UP 1943 was moved north about 500 feet so that interviews, photographs could be conducted; then UP 1943 brought back into frame for additional photos.
