Back to the good old time |
Description: |
The rail connection Frankfurt/Oder to Guben was built 1843 after permission was granted of the King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm IV. The line was used at this time for passenger services and for the nearby glass industry. The line Berlin to Breslau, operated by Lower Silesian-Mark Railway, is one of the oldest lines in Germany, opened between 1842 and 1847 and acquired by the Prussian government in 1852. |
