Album Info:Seattle has long been a railroad city. At one time, several transcontinental railroads converged in Seattle, and today the city is still an important railroad center. Most of the action can be found in a roughly 10 square mile area, from the Salmon Bay Bridge north of BNSF's Interbay/Balmer Yard, to the intermodal yard in South Seattle. Included in this area are the BNSF yards at Interbay, South Seattle, and Stacy Street, Union Pacific's Argo Yard, and the Amtrak/Sounder yard south of downtown. Included in this album are trains along the Scenic Subdivision from Salmon Bay to Downtown, and trains along the Seattle Sub from Downtown to the Lucile Street Overpass south of downtown.

The waterfront is just behind me, and the actual portal of the tunnel under Seattle is out of frame to the right. 6526 is an ES44C4, and is in charge of a westbound coal train bound for the Roberts Bank Terminal in Delta, British Columbia. The train was waiting for the eastbound Empire Builder to pass before continuing on its journey.
